Michael is right, and I like the shadow of your very sympathical looking sun, Kapitein Jeroen, with the flag on the sandy path! Gaaf je handtekening! Mijn ogen kunnen nou zweven zoals een meeuw up and down over de duinen heen, deze weidse uitzichten vind ik steeds bijzonder mooi! Deze vlag kon je gebruiken voor je project..! (in onze les Nederlands hebben we pas gelezen een Belgs stripverhaaltje over Kuifje en Kapitein Haddock "Het geheim van de EeNhoorn"!)

Picturit: Kuifje is één van mijn favoriete stripfiguren met die geweldige Kapitein Haddock, 'duizend bommen en granaten' Jeroen is een ontzettend aardige knul, hij vond het weer leuk om met ons mee te gaan, komend lang weekend, komen hij en zijn vriend bij ons op Texel, mijn man en ik hebben dan 2 weken vakantie.
Die vlag was helaas te groot om me te nemen...anders had hij zeer zeker niet misstaan op ons project..

Wonderul photo which makes you as happy as Jeroen is looking!

There are a number of reasons why I find this an excellent picture. The shadows, dissapearing path with posts, the clouds - the rare dutch blue and the composition with Jeroen and the Astrid's missing flag. One day when you are not projecting, try this one in a strongly toned b&w.

Picturit: Your dear words mean a lot to me, I have to be very honest with you, it was never my intention to post this one, Jeroen called me and than he was making fun with the flag, so I just asked to stop and I made the picture, never saw the dunes in the back of him, never saw the surrounding, I just saw his smile, his big smile.....
Binnenkort ben ik weer op Texel en dan zal ik zeer zeker vanaf dit punt een paar foto's maken en dan in Z/W proberen.
Jeroen kent zijn moeder al 19 jaar en weet dat hij bij mij een potje kan breken, we hebben ook hetzelfde gevoel voor humor..

Looks great Astrid, strong light really suits the mood of the picture. The pose and the winding path almost suggest he has made a long journey but sees the end in sight ;o)

Jeroen was only 8 months old when we started taking him to this island, he loves it like we do and he always tries to join us for a few days.

Jeroen will never get lost Astrid, walking around with your flag, you will be able to spot him a mile away in a crowd.
His arms will be aching off though you may have to come up with a lighter solution.

That Jeroen is a fine-looking young man, Astrid, and you can be proud of both him and yourself! I especially love the clouds...and the sand and the dunes and the fence posts.... And it doesn't hurt that your son salutes you!

Those clouds are often seen above Texel...it is always a lovely sight.
We love to walk for hours through those dunes, it never gets bored...and Jeroen...I think he loves me....sometimes...

I love the way you have composed this - the path wide at the front then narrowing into the distance and leading you into the picture. There is a great sense of openness and space. But of course it is the figure of your son that makes it! Nice touch with the flag.

Picturit: Ingrid, it was in the first place I saw my son's big smile, he called me and I asked him to stand still...it was until later I found out it was a pretty nice picture...we will be there the coming 2 weeks, it is a great place to be.

Good fun picture Astrid on what I imagine was a family day out. Love the coastal scenery, it is like this on parts of our Norfolk coast, the bulgy bit that faces towards you. I'm sure you would feel right at home there.

Picturit: Zeb, my son found that one on the spot where he is standing, it is a flag to put with the fishing nets, so they now where they are, we are on an island in the North of Holland, it is Dutch.
