nice shot the colours are great.hope the storm wasnt to big
Picturit: As a matter of fact the storm and I never met, it was blown away from us, but we heard the thunder though and saw many lightnings.
Astrid
Hope you took cover immediately after taking this shot.
Picturit: The storm went away from us, luckely.
Astrid
Now you're talking, Astrid! I would be there in a New York minute, waiting with bated breath to see the storm blow in. I LOVE storms...as long as everyone is safe and there are no accidents. Mother Nature knows when to talk to us and we have to just shut up and listen...and hang on to each other. WOW. You were lucky to hear her talk! I know your name is on the flag but thank God YOU were not part of the accident!
Picturit: You would have loved it here, we were walking the beach in a perfect sunset and when we returned we saw that sky 'come in' ... but the wind was north east...so it blew away from us......we heard the thunder though and we saw the lightning, but I was not able to capture that...that is one of my dreams...a capture of lightning... (it was fun putting my name there..
Astrid.
Stark, crisp, gorgeous, unique image, Astrid.
That is a very heavy sky.
Picturit: Thanks Ray, even we were surprised how 'black' it turn so suddenly, we came home safe though
Astrid.
Run Run very fast you will get very wet.great capture
Picturit: The wind was our friend this time, it blew the storm away from us, we came home dry.
Astrid.
Dramatic picture Astrid: I hope you took a brolly
Picturit: Thank for your concern, actually the storm went away from us, we came home dry and safe.
Astrid.
I'm with Ginnie. I'll just get my rain mac and wait for the incoming power of mother nature to unleash herself upon me.
A fabulously ominous depiction of what's about to come. I love it
Picturit: Paul, I love thunder and lightning and heavy rains, sometimes when it rains I am running in the polder...that is very soulful.....
Thank you for your kind words. Astrid
this looks incredibly surreal - and reminiscent of the acid yellow blackdog palette
Picturit: You are so right here Jude, we kind of were surprised for at the back of me there is a clear sky and a perfect sunset....
The storm went away from us, lucky us so to say Thank you for your kind words, have a nice evening Astrid.
WOW this is amazing Astrid, the lighting and the contrasting colours work so well
Love the signature you were surely flying your flag but very safely thank god You are still waiting for that lightening shot in the storm, be patient it will come one day. Then you can P&S;P
Picturit: I will P&S...that I promise you and POST too
That lighting will come....I know for sure. Astrid
Scary sky, love the contrast to the bright flags
Picturit: Thanks Nigel, it scared us too, but we made it dry and safe home.
Astrid.
I like the color contrasts in this picture, and the two trash cans (?) makes the foreground interesting.
I hope you didn't get too wet
Picturit: The red one..is a pole...very deep into the sand....if the water reaches that than they know how the water is.
We made it home safe and we did not get wet. Astrid
Wonderful wonderful photograph my orange friend. That black rubbish bin is so important to this. Off to have coughie and go to Londres mit Tiff.
ps i see your name
Picturit: You lucky two, going to Londres and I am not invited, you don't know what you miss, I am a perfect tour guide...'when you look at your right....you don't see that building on your left.....
Thank you so much for your kind words Chad, most appreciated!! Astrid
I'm with Ginnie, I love storms. Love the yellow against the stormy sky.
Picturit: Yellow and the sun relfecting on it...it was magic, the wind and the sound of thunder, you would have loved it.
Astrid
Amazing light! The building is just the right colour too. I love the signature on the flag!
Actually Chad is right about the rubbish bin
Picturit: Yes he is, thank you so much for your kind words, it was a moment of magic there...and we made it home safe.
Astrid.
great image, the bright light and the foreboding dark go so well together,
Picturit: Those two colours are always so great, the sun reflected on the building, it was a magic moment.
Thanks for visiting Astrid.
This is brilliant Astrid - just the sort of shot I like - the composition with that little bin just offset and the fantastic contrast of colours. Love it.
Ingrid
Picturit: Thank you for your kind compliment, I just took a picture of a perfect sunset, I turned around to go home......there it was that magic sky, the wind, the thunder, two worlds, in one blink of an eye...
Astrid.
Astrid.
Just wonderfull!
Picturit: Thanks,
Astrid.
Amazing when the sun is still shining buit the massive wall of black cloud is moving in. Well captured.
Picturit: Thanks Mary, we were in 2 worlds, at my back the perfect sunset, and towards us the thunder and black sky...it was kind of magic.
Astrid.
Absolutely wonderful lighting! Well done!!!
Picturit: Thank you so much, this is when I am happy to have my camera with me.
Astrid.
Wonderful composition Astrid. The lighting and the colours contrast are exceptional! I very seldom saw such a heavy sky.
Picturit: Richard we too, we have seen these skies above the sea, but hardly over land, we were lucky to go home safely.
Thank you for your kind words. Astrid.
The lighting is the protagonist ... raising what could easily be a plain scene ... You have put some magic into this I can tell Astrid. richard
Picturit: Thank you Richard for your very kind words, it was so magic to me too, I was lucky I brought my camera with me, I wanted to capture the sunset...I did and this was just on or way home.
Astrid.
Amazing lighting Astrid, oh you were so lucky to get this white and yellow against such a fierce background. I trust you ran for cover a few minutes later.
Picturit: Thank you for your kind words Brian, I was so lucky with that light and sky, we made it home safe though.
Astrid.
Wonderful colours here Astrid - outstanding photograph! ;o)
Picturit: Thank you Mike, this is what I like about the sea and the beach, the circumstances change within a blink of the eye, it was magic to be there and kind of scary, but we found out very quickly, the storm never came towards us.
Astrid.
WOW! The colors in this are incredible. Love the yellow against the dark grey/blue ominous sky.
Picturit: These colours together are always so good, it is only rare we see them like that, it was for me the first time I saw a sky that black.
Astrid.
wow. what an impressive dark sky. great shot
Picturit: Thanks Carsten, I was so lucky with that sky and the sun..
Astrid.
Every color in this picture pops!
Great!
Picturit: Thanks Nadine, I was so lucky that night, sunset to the left and storm to the right.
Astrid
I would be running for cover. Lovely contrast in the shot Bright impressive building against the dark storm clouds. I like it.
Picturit: Thank you Mick, we were lucky that the storm never reached us, this is one of those shots I would probably never will be able to shoot again, everything was perfect that one time.
Astrid
woah Astrid that is one hell of a dramatic scene, absolutely superb from front to back, side to side in fact the whole bloody thing
Picturit:
We came home safe. Astrid.
I love the composition and colors
Picturit: Thank you Zohre, we were lucky that we were home before it rained.
Astrid.
WooW! Fantastic shot. I like!
Picturit:
Astrid.
Very nicely composed. The bright and the dark working together.
Picturit: Thanks Michael, those colours are always good and for us it was good that we never got wet
Astrid.
