Last Tuesday I was at a centre where they taught these birds how to hunt and come back…

'the coming back' is very important, while demonstrating the birds got a GPS,

so if they did not come back 'the teacher' could track them down.

Only birds born in captivity are able to be trained, it takes about 3 to 4 weeks,

they only are allowed to eat from the hand and they eat 'one-day-chickens'  

I was able to let the owl fly to me; my husband took that one picture.

The big owl with the orange eyes is a twilight zone hunter

owls with black eyes are night hunters.
