.....it could be a nice catch.....

Gone fishin? Looks like a really good idea to me right now
Picturit:
Astrid.
Oh yes, it could, Astrid! This reel reminds me of the specs on our camera lenses. I've never thought of that before. I guess for fishers that makes a good analogy!
Picturit: We walked the beach when the sun was setting, it was a nice evening to walk, not too cold and the tide was changing, that is when the current changes too, so the plaice will start swimming...I never saw the man catch a thing, sometimes I know it is not important to catch any fish, it is just the excitement of being there, to be with our own thoughts, to be outside, yes it could be the specsof my camera lens.
I see this reel has seen some better days(and bigger fish, I hope).
Wonder what kind of fish you catch there.
Picturit: This is what we catch , http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_plaice, my husband, Jeroen and I sometimes go with a fisher boat to the Waddenzee http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waddenzee (I used the Dutch, for there are more pictures of the Waddenzee) and we would catch plaice and all what we would catch we are allowed to take home, we all three love fish for supper, I once caught 10, I was very happy, I have been fishing since I was 6 years old, I still get my fish-license every year, I might fish only twice a year though next to my house. ( you and I would have a great time fishing, just sit next to each other and be quiet and have our own thoughts about everything)
Astrid.
Fish and chips for dinner tonight? I'll bring the ale.
Picturit: You're on, let's say about 6P, you can get around the house and come in the backdoor, that door is used for friends...
Astrid
love the perspective
well composed shot
Picturit: Thank you so much Dr A. W, I was walking passed this fishing pole and I asked the man if I could capture it, he kind of looked at me if I had had too much sun during the day
Astrid.
I used to fish a lot too near Rotterdam and in the canals of the Bollenstreek. Fishing from the beach must be nice too!
The photo ia almost B&W!
Picturit: I never fished from the beach, only from a boat at the Waddenzee, it is fun, I hate to tell you, I converted the picture in B&W, in the original the sea has a slight colour.
Astrid
An interesting detail of fishing equipment! And I detected your signature beside of other inscriptions!
Picturit: Philine, I think you are the first to detect my signature on the equipment
Astrid.
You catch the fish and I'll make the chips
Picturit: Bill we will have a party going on....M'roy brings the ale, you do the chips, ik denk dat je dat heel erg goed kunt!!! and let's hope Chad will bring the coughie....Ginnie will bring the appeltaart met slagroom...PARTY TIME....
I can hardly wait. Astrid.
You have me hooked mijn vriend I am loving this series thus far.
Great DOF and subject.
Picturit: Thanks tracy, I am glad you are hooked on...
I am sorry for not writing yet...I have been too busy Talk to you later Astrid.
Lovely capture Astrid. Nice conversion to B&W.
I know what it is like to get those looks.
Picturit: Thanks Aussie, it was a great sight in that sunset.
Astrid.
Nice bold composition Astrid and good use of DOF. I see you have sneaked your signature in again - you are leaving your mark all over the place!
Ingrid
Picturit:
Astrid.
I love this one Astrid. It's so evocative. I ignored that you were producing fishing reels!
Picturit: OH yeas I am in many trades and making things, it is so much fun
This is gave me the ultimate vacation feeling Astrid.
Picturit: My dear Chad, I am very pleased that my hangover is gone, I am not hanging over any more than yesterday, I am now hanging from the ceiling.
Astrid Please do have a wonderful evening see you tomorrow...I do hope....
Good idea,I really like this composition
Picturit: Thank you Zohre, this gave me a vacation feeling.
Astrid
simply but very strong shot! Only on holiday I did that some times...
Picturit: Thank you Robbie, we don't have to look far for some shots, I sometimes fish in the Linge, I live nearby that river.
Astrid.
AStrid.
Black and white picture always so nice
Picturit: Thank you, they are, they add to the picture..colour sometimes distracts the viewer.
Astrid.
My son has just had his three fishing rods out in the garden Astrid to sort them out for next time and I wouldn't have even dreamed a shot like this was possible. You are one clever lady.
Picturit: Brian thank you so much for your kind compliment, sometimes objects to capture are within reach of us, we only have to look very well!!
Astrid.
It h a s b e e n a nice 'geweldig' catch (3:0), and I presume that more catches/vangsten shall follow met jullie van Vissergoal en andere vissers en jagers!
Grtoeten Astrid.
Very nice perspective, and the B&W works really well
Picturit: Thank you, it fitted this picture.
Astrid
It could be...and a nice supper too!
Picturit: I would love to eat the fish I would catch, I did many times...
Astrid.
One of your activities, Astrid? Lovely detail on the rod and rell and good control of DOF to thow the background out of focus. I can see that you have the same problem with foam on the sea as we do!
Picturit: That foam was a kind of sea weed...and with the wind that gave lots of foam on the beach, yes I do fish, it was not my fishing rod though.
Astrid.
Seems like ages since i have been out fishing. Think i need to go again and bring my camera this time.
I like the small imperfections in the fishing rod.
Picturit: Never too late to start fishing again Bo, I love it.
Thak you for your kind words. Astrid.
Great composition and conversion. This scene could have been in SA except that the waves are way too small
Picturit: Thanks Louis, it was very calm now, we had north-east wind, if the wind blows from the south-west....
Astrid
Works really well in B/W very good omposition. Reminds me of some good days in the past.
Picturit:
Astrid
Great detail shot. I like the b&w. I tried fishing in Norway a few years ago. Three weeks, every day ... and no fish ;-)
